We just uploaded the other week a new video for 3rd grade on Multiplication and Division and their relationship. We hope your students and children learn more about how knowing one can help you solve the other.

When I was younger my elementary teacher had a contest for learning the times table. I was so excited to win it that I memorized the times tables as fast as I could. I loved the multiplication …… but then came division and I hated it. Now that I understand more about how it works I know that division is not as hard as it looks. Knowing that Division starts with the product of a multiplication problem will help students. For example 3 x 4 = 12 can help you solve division problems like 12 ÷ 4 = 3 .  The division problem starts with the answer in a multiplication problem. This goes right along with fact families and as your kids learn these concepts throughout the year help them see the relationships.

Helping kids understand these relationships will help build their foundation in math and get them more excited. Check out our videos and games and keep on learning.
